Static bars

What Is a Shockless Bar?

Shockless static eliminators are designed with ionizing points, or emitters, that are capacitively coupled to the high voltage source. This limits the current at the points to a very low level.

Direct contact with a point will not result in an electrical shock sensation. Shockless or current limited static eliminators should be used in installations where contact with personnel is likely.

Product Information

MEC bar.

Static electricity may also be found on round materials and products, for instance tubes, sections, drinking cups etc. This results in dust attraction, swarf sticking and drinking cups not being released from coffee machines.

On forming, filling and sealing machines powder products stick to the film in the sealing areas causing poor sealing. SIMCO has developed circular ionizes, which neutralize all round the product, to solve these problems.

Each individual emitter point of the MEC circular bar is coupled capacitively to the high voltage, so no electrical shock is felt when the point is accidentally touched.

Another advantage is that the bar continues to function properly when a number of points are short-circuited, for instance due to heavy fouling.

Available in sizes from 10cm up to about 4 meters.
