What Is Shielded Cable?

Shielded cable is distinguished by a silver colored, braided metal exterior cover.

Shielded cable reduces the amount of electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency interference (RFI) emitted from the cable.

The operation of some sensitive electrical components is adversely affected by EMI and RFI.
